District Superintendent Pastor Daniel E. LeRoy

 

 

 

Pastor Dan has pastored at Asheboro Foster Street and Hertford Bagley Swamp, and planted the church at Chapel Hill,
following his pastorate at Chapel Hill he served as full-time Assistant District Superintendent for five years.

Pastor Dan was in the last graduating class of Kernersville Wesleyan College in 1971, and
is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY. He has served in full-time ministry in the NC East District for 31 years.

Dan and wife, Cynthia, are the parents of three sons, each of whom is an ordained Wesleyan minister.
Kris serves as NC East District Youth President. He is the father of two of beautiful little girls, Peyton and Raegan. 
Josh and Laura serve as director of The Bridge Project in Asheboro a cross cultural ministry, and Josh also serves as Assistant Pastor at Asheboro Foster St., They are parents of a beautiful littlegirl named Anna Grace.  Matt and Sarah are church planters in Chapel Hill where he is launching the City on a Hill project.

In addition to his duties as District Superintendent, Pastor Dan is also a member of the
General Board of The Wesleyan Church and a trustee of Southern Wesleyan University.

Assistant District Superintendent Pastor Ernest Mullins

 

Ernest Mullins has been a Senior Pastor for thirty-five years.  His most recent pastorate of nine
years was served as Senior Pastor of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Pastor Ernest earned a Bachelor of Theology degree from BMI, Rock Island, Illinois
in 1972 and has continued to advance his education through various study opportunities. 
He has had an extensive ministry as conference speaker and evangelist both in the
United States and various mission fields.  For fifteen years, Pastor Mullins was involved
with a National Youth Organization, serving five of those years as President. 
He has served on school and college boards as well as chairing a World Missions Organization. 
Rev. Mullins has a record of being very active in civic affairs.  Ernest and his wife
Susan are the proud parents of two sons.  Aaron lives in Washington, D.C. where
he has served as Senator Elizabeth Dole’s assistant. He presently heads up his own
Consulting Firm and serves on the Board of the D.C. Central Kitchen. Josh lives in
Ft. Worth, Texas and is in Communications/Public Relations. 
Both sons are involved in inner city lay ministry.

Office Administrator Pastor Darrell Scruggs

Pastor Darrell is from Indiana and has been a pastor in The Wesleyan Church for thirty-four
years (20 in Indiana and 14 in North Carolina). He pastored the Asheboro Neighbors Grove and
Mt. Airy Bannetown churches in North Carolina.  He is a 1970 graduate of
Frankfort Wesleyan Bible College, Frankfort, Indiana, with an AB degree in Religion.
Prior to moving to North Carolina he served as district secretary
in the Indiana South District for eight years.

Darrell and his wife Naomi  have one daughter,
Lorissa; one son, Shawn, and two grandsons, Derek and Brandon.  
He enjoys hunting and fishing as well as landscaping and gardening in his spare time
